Might Uranus+Mercury+Sun in the 5th be a positive jump start? Anyone have some good transits one might look to for this? Thank you. Those seem like a really good beginning.Have you ever read books by author Julia Cameron? {The Artist's Way, among other titles}. She recommends writing exercises. These teach you awareness of the way you stream ideas, their flow.Besides Mercury, I would include that you observe the effects of transits to your natal Moon. Transiting moons in general have various moods. For broad example-- Water moons could be more sensitive, and flowing with 'emotion'-- depth, passion?Earth moons might have a more balanced and practical tidy energy?Air moons, lighter materials? data-oriented times?Fire moons, flow with more flamboyancy?.. See what I mean? The moons are "moods". The planets (natal and transit) are in their own moods too, as they make aspects to each other, and/or energizing your own chart.Also-- The theme or type of book you want to write would be represented by a certain energy frame. Brenda_SInteresting @MoonMystic, I've gained interest in writing lately too. (it's one thing I took action towards which is unlikely of me, compared to the other things I've had interest in)However the Sun/Uranus conjunct is transiting my 11th house. Squaring my 3rd/9th house Jupiter/Saturn opposition, respectively. Do you have any natal planets in your fifth house? Where's its' ruler? Are your planets making any aspects to this conjunction? Maybe post your chart?I think 12th house stuff play into this well too. MoonMystic-teaselAre you comfortable sharing your chart?A guy told me that I should be a writer, but I'm not sure of transits at the time. I think it's also different for me, talking to certain people versus trying to write something in general. I have Chiron conjunct my Mercury (plus Ceres and my Sun), Moon/Venus in Gemini square Mars in Pisces. Moon/Venus sextile Jupiter, and trine Pluto. Mercury trine MC. Jupiter/Neptune also trine MC. I was always more comfortable with drawing/painting/photography - but I remember a teacher liking a story I wrote as a kid. She read it to the class, and embarrassed me (unintentionally). It's a shame astrodienst no longer has the discussion parts of charts open. This is the kind of thing you would have found under the charts of people like Stephen King. mirage29 Astrodienst has a forum (like Lindaland). Some LL people also write posts there, duplicating what they do 'here' at LL.They DO discuss charts. Just, start a thread on a chart or a topic. You can challenge accuracy of materials, or even offer data for a new chart for them to create in the Collection.*~Sometimes with writing, it's not AS important to be 'perfect' in your mechanics, as much as capturing and attempting to put into words the Ideas, Imaginations, Descriptions that YOU, in your special uniqueness, are a witness to in Life.Mechanics can always get 'fixed' by a good copy editor later. The MAIN importance, is that you pour whatever essences you 'contain' and encompass, and to attempt to pour it out ON the pages as they stream through you. Wait a day or two, or week or two, and look at it again. Always save a copy of your drafts, and stash them away, preserved. Too much editing can 'change' the original Voice. (I know that with me, I can edit things sooooo much, toooo much, that it becomes a whole other creation.)Journals are a great way to stream your thoughts. Great for self-therapy. Documenting your life. Chronology. Later on, you can extract paragraphs from the things you've written, and create an ensemble of writings around the body of an idea. I saw some of the things you wrote for the other blog/forum you add to, Teasel. (I think it had to do with scary stories?.. sorry. forgot). I was impressed with how you expressed yourself. You have a very concise language and you shouldn't doubt yourself. People are interested in a writer cuz of the way they view the world, as Mirage pointed out. And so long as you infuse your quirkiness within your writings then you're good. (Editors are there for reason, to take care of the stuff you're concerned about. If you look here: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Talk:King,_Stephen - this is where the chart would be posted, along with a few questions, from what I remember - then people would respond in the comments. It's good to see you, by the way. bananazFeel free to search through my posts on here. I’ve mentioned in several I’m a successful YA author. I’ve added info on transits, and I’ve posted my chart a few times. Uranus is definitely a factor. To whomever said Chiron+mercury, I respectfully disagree.
